Another day, another frustrating predicament. I swear, I just bought/got/acquired a new key last month and now I'm locked out my own locked outside my car residence! I've tried every strategy I know. The spare duplicate is, of course, lost. I even checked nearby for a possible window, but no luck. At this point, I'm just fuming/frustrated/aggravated. Maybe it's time to invest in a professional locksmith...
Whoa! Keys Inside, Car Outside! ????
Okay, this completely happened to me yesterday. I was walking back to my car after hitting the gym and remembered that I left my keys inside! My jaw hit the floor because, you know, the windows were all locked. It was a total nightmare!
- I tried to squeeze through the window, but it was no use.
- Finally, I had to call a locksmith which was a pain.
Just a heads up, be careful and keep those keys handy!
Help! I Locked Myself Out! OMG, I can't get in!
It happened so fast. I was/I had been/I'd been getting the mail and just for a second/momentarily/in a flash, I left them inside . Now, here I am / I'm stuck / I'm trapped outside with no way in . My phone is about to die, and I don't have a spare key/my spare key is somewhere safe at home/nobody else knows where it is. What am I going to do?!
- Should I call a locksmith?
- I can't believe this is happening to me.
I need to think quickly!
Car Key Dilemma
So, you've run into a problem with your car keys. Stay calm. This doesn't have to a total disaster. First things first, search all the usual spots - your bag, on the kitchen counter, or maybe even in that drawer you haven't touched in months. If they're nowhere to be found, it's time to come up with a plan.
- Call a locksmith. It might seem like the costliest route, but sometimes it's the easiest way to get back on the road.
- Give your dealership a ring. They may be able to provide you with a new key or at least point you in the proper place.
- Check your insurance coverage. You might be surprised to realize that your plan covers key replacement.
Oh No, My Keys Are in the Car!
That is totally the worst feeling in the world! You're getting ready to head out, and you discover that your keys are safely tucked away. You feel a rush of anxiety. What are you going to do??
You could ask a neighbor if they have a spare key, but those options aren't always guaranteed.
This is where it really helps to be prepared. Maybe you could think about leaving a spare set with someone you trust.
In the meantime, take a deep breath and try to stay calm.
Uh Oh, Locked Keys in the Vehicle! ????
